Four US soldiers killed in Iraq attacks: military




BAGHDAD (AFP) - Four US soldiers have been killed in separate attacks in southern and western Iraq (news - web sites), the military said.




"Three soldiers traveling in a 1st Armored Division convoy were killed during a small arms ambush" near the southern city of Diwaniyah around 7:00 pm (1500 GMT), the military said in a statement.


Another army statement said "a soldier assigned to the 1st Marine Expeditionary Force was killed yesterday as a result of enemy action in the Al Anbar Province," west of the Iraqi capital.

It doesn't seem to me that singing and killing go together no matter what race, religion, or country.

More often than not, the soldiers killed in Iraq are not the headline story. This week at Ft. Bragg, a visit from Tiger Woods got more press attention than the number of killed soldiers and Marines.

the deaths are occurring at an almost daily rate. how many soldiers and civilians have to die before shrub is tossed out on his ear? i am getting so sick of hearing about deaths. i am ashamed that a large portion of americans still support this disaster of a war.

It should have been home already. That $1,000/mo extra hazardous duty pay doesn't mean squat to the military spouses who haven't seen their husbands/wives in over a year.
