Eleven more U.S. troops die in Iraq

BAGHDAD, Iraq (CNN) -- U.S. troop deaths in Iraq reached 700, with 504 killed in combat, as the military on Sunday added 11 American casualties to the war's mounting death toll.

The relentless coverage of the carnage in Vietnam I recall as a small child is what made me an eternal pacifist and is also what prompted to a great degree, all those protests which eventually provoked our withdrawal.
