Comptroller: Fiscal call to arms

LINCOLN — A former comptroller general of the United States gave a fiscal call to arms in Lincoln Wednesday.

David Walker, who now heads the Comeback America Initiative, warned that the nation's financial position is much worse than generally understood and that it is approaching a critical crossroads.

Make the right decisions and the nation can avoid a debt crisis, remain strong and provide a better standard of living for its children and grandchildren.

"It's very, very important that we come together with nonpartisan solutions," Walker said. "If we don't, our best years may be behind us, and that's be downright un-American."

1. I have been talking about it everywhere practically ever since the Derivative Crash in '08 & Thom

Hartmann started discussing it with various subject matter experts. I have been talking about it ever since and ***STILL*** most people don't know crap about it and they think the Derivative Crash is something that's ended and all done with now, when, in fact, at least some of what is happening in Europe could be due to the financial social-disease that the U.S. transmitted to them through those derivatives and our hedge funds.

I wish there could be a new completely Progressive, even Liberal, commercial media network. The reason no one knows is because no one is telling them and they're not curious enough to go find out for themselves.
