State veterans and troops' families feel betrayed on WMD issue

By MIKE BARBER
SEATTLE POST-INTELLIGENCER REPORTER

When the drumbeats of war with Iraq began sounding in 2002, Ward was among the first to sign up for her church's War Prayer Society, named after an anti-war article penned by Mark Twain.

1. Gee, nice to see the "peace-makers" getting some more attention,...
,...perhaps we are beginning to build broader support (outside government-controlled and right-wing propaganda).

2. The War Prayer by Mark Twain
If you have never read it, here it is. The most eloquent anti-war statement ever.

3. its even harder when you knew it was bullshit in the first place
and when they still take your kid there, and he knows its bullshit and you know its bullshit and there is nothing you can do but wait for the US public to come to their senses.
In the meantime, bring the troops home now

6. I think of you too, Mari. Your voice is about the most powerful on this
board. Hugs to you and your constancy in reminding us clearly and without embellishment just what a complete piece of shit this war is and those who support it. Hugs again, honey.
