MILWAUKEE -- Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker said Friday all that he knows about FBI agents seizing items from the home of one of his top agency officials is what he's seen in the media, and that his office has not been told anything about the raid.

The governor made an appearance in Milwaukee Friday morning, and told reporters he had no first-hand knowledge of the raid.

The governor said "it's hard to tell" whether he should be concerned about Wednesday's raid on the home of Cynthia Archer, who was his aide while Milwaukee County executive and followed him to work in state government when he was elected governor.

Truth is, Walker doesn't have to say one word to law enforcement or to a judge. And law enforcement may still nail his sorry ass, if what I've been reading about his tenure in Milwaukee County has any substance.

Reminiscent of Spiro Agnew's tenure as VP but nailed for corruption while previously Gov of Maryland.

This "Here is one little thing I do not know" crap is not very clever as obfuscation goes, but it does deliver the line the M$M needs to promote his appearance of innocence.

Meanwhile, in Milwaukee, there are lots of reasons for legal concern and Walker's $60,000 legal bill so far reflects this.

Among the records released recently by the U.S. Justice Department are two pages on Milwaukee voter fraud. Both contain a line at the bottom of the page that shows they came from somebody's C drive and carry the script "Rove_K."

The pages are printouts of a Journal Sentinel graphic that accompanied a Feb. 2, 2005, story on Milwaukee wards that recorded 100 more votes than voters. On one of the pages, someone has circled the word Milwaukee, underlined a few facts and jotted the handwritten note "discuss w/ Harriet." Then-White House counsel Harriet Miers was immersed in the now-controversial decision to dump eight U.S. attorneys in the middle of the term.

The Senate Judiciary Committee now is digging into whether the Milwaukee prosecutor, a Republican Bush appointee, scored points with the Bush team by charging Georgia Thompson, an official in Democratic Gov. Jim Doyle's administration. An appeals court recently tossed Thompson's conviction, saying the evidence was "beyond thin."

Last week, Biskupic said he was unaware of the documents linked to Rove or the speech in which he mentioned Milwaukee voter fraud.
