BUJUMBURA (Reuters) - Gunmen who stormed a bar in Burundi killed at least 36 people and the central African country's president promised those behind the attack would be brought to justice.

Attackers from neighboring Congo kill 36 people at pub in Burundi, official says

BUJUMBURA, Burundi (AP) -- An official in Burundi says attackers from neighboring Congo have killed 36 people at a pub in the central African nation.

Bujumbura province governor Jacques Minami said Monday that the attackers descended on the pub west of Burundi's capital Sunday night.

He says the attackers had crossed the river from Congo.

Survivor Jackson Kabura, who was wounded in the stomach, said the men entered wearing fatigues. He says: "One of them said, 'kill them all, kill them all. Make sure there's no survivors.'"
