CIA contractor charged in Pakistan deaths arrested in Colorado

Denver (CNN) -- Raymond Davis, who was charged with killing two men in Pakistan as a CIA contractor but was later released, was arrested Saturday after a fistfight at a shopping center in Colorado, authorities said.

Davis was charged with misdemeanor assault and disorderly conduct after allegedly getting into a fight over a parking space at a suburban Denver mall, according to Lt. Glenn Peitzmeier of the Douglas County Sheriff's Office.

The incident at the Highlands Ranch Town Center began as an argument between 37-year-old Davis and 50-year-old Jeff Maes and then turned physical, Peitzmeier said.

This puts things into a new light. This is not somebody I would give a gun and license to kill.

2. He shouldn't be licensed to carry a gun either...he was just a contractor not a CIA agent. Besides
he should have to pay back the government for the cost of compensation to the victims families. Why should we the taxpayers have to pay for for his crimes? I'd like to know why the man wasn't put on trial for murder here in the states? How many other contractors have committed murder and gotten away with it?

13. furthermore the RW noise machine successfully sold fear of welfare queens
but the military-industrial complex gets away perpetually with wasting money on military misadventures and poking around in other countries' affairs and even losing billions FOREVER.

15 years ago a DEMOCRATIC president signed a welfare-limiting bill (for the rest of us), but the Pentagon can keep begging and begging Congress for more money and then Congress spinelessly bends over and surrenders

seriously, when was the last time Congress substantially cut defense pork?

Eisenhower, the WWII veteran and later Republican president who was re-elected on a "peace and prosperity" platform, something that Reagan/Bush father and son/Romney/Perry/Gingrich would not want to touch with a seven-foot pole, warned us about the MIC 50 years ago

he is exactly the kind of guy you would want to give a gun and a license to kill.

7. A Pakistani drone, yes.
If we can kill Americans in foreign countries with drones ( and that attack killed others, too)
they why can't another nation drop a bomb on its citizens in our country????

12. Do they have our hostages? Can we sell them some drones in exchange?
It would create jobs, and we could score points for bringing home the hostages. It's a win-win for justice and democracy! I'm pretty sure of it. A very good formula, and speaking of that, maybe we could sell them some formula 1 race cars and they could get into the NASCAR which is a very good american practice that could only improve conditions in pakistan for its peoples. Yes, I think our money and terrorist problems are just about over now.

8. He's lucky he didn't do that to a permit holder.
His next stop might have been the county morgue instead of jail.
