Buffett: Wall Street ‘Doesn’t Feel Loved’
Source: Bloomberg

Warren Buffett, the billionaire investor, said Wall Street bankers don’t believe they’ve been embraced by President Barack Obama and are consequently withholding their support.

“Wall Street certainly doesn’t feel loved,” Buffett told Charlie Rose in a Sept. 30 interview broadcast on PBS. “I think there was some rhetoric that contributed to that.”

Buffett, 81, is seeking to draw backers for Obama’s re- election and planned to attend a fundraiser for the president last week in New York. Obama has been accused of “class warfare” by Republicans including House Speaker John Boehner for seeking to close the deficit by raising taxes on the wealthy. Obama has asked Congress to enact a so-called Buffett rule, requiring those earning $1 million or more a year to pay taxes at a rate similar to that of middle-income Americans.

“You take the number of people making a million dollars or over on Wall Street and you can fill a very large auditorium,” Buffett said. “I think the president felt, ‘My God, look at all the things we did for business, and they’re unappreciative, and I’m all that stands between them and the pitchforks.’”

It is stupefying - "they don't feel loved?" Are they serious? Talk about not living in the real world. I'm sure they could get all the tough love they need in some quarters.

Between Obama and Jr Bush, they've been given 16 trillion dollars and stuck most of it in their pockets.

What's not to love?

screwed and their pension funds robbed by Wall Street would fill every football stadium in this country to capacity. WS and these Banksters will not be feeling any love for a long time. They don't understand and underestimate the anger of the American public at this point.

4. Their own employees . . .
. . . are stopping to look and sometimes talk with OWS protesters in Liberty Park. They don't see that because most of the gilded are on Park Avenue or in the Financial Center.

5. Imagine if you will that they were in the middle class' shoes?
Unemployment, underemployment, poor healthcare, inflation and high gas prices. If they think they feel no love now, what would it be if the tables were turned?

:wtf:

7. Buffett does imply that Wall Street has been ungrateful.
"You take the number of people making a million dollars or over on Wall Street and you can fill a very large auditorium,” Buffett said. “I think the president felt, ‘My God, look at all the things we did for business, and they’re unappreciative, and I’m all that stands between them and the pitchforks.’”

24. We trusted Wall Street with our future and Wall Street messed it up.
Wall Street is not loved, not at all, and for good reason.

Wall Street is like that dog you got from the pound that messes up your carpets every day and then turns around and bites you.

Many of us believe based on our experience that the Wall Street millionaires cheat and lie and then spit in our faces. We entrusted our retirement savings to them and they played with the money so as to give themselves huge paychecks.

So Wall Street is not loved and rightfully so. They have abused the country. The young can't get jobs. The seniors get no interest and are worried about their pensions. And now Wall Street is attacking Social Security and locking unemployed students into compounded interest loan deals that pretty much make the students slaves to the banks and Wall Street until death.

The US no longer makes the majority of the consumer products. Mostly anymore we just fight wars and kill people and make and sell weapons.

Where are our factories? Where are the jobs? What has happened to our public schools? Why do the rich guys think they need to privatize and cannibalize everything? Because they don't know what else to do with their stolen loot. That's why.

26. Wall Street Welfare
has folks in a bad mood. What they do for business? They got bored with that a long time ago, Warren. The TBTF scam is so much more lucrative, all guaranteed, too.

Was there a meltdown? Was there a bailout of the leading financial institutions? Really, it's like none of this ever happened as far as these self-pitying welfare cases are concerned.
