Kraft voluntarily recalls Velveeta Shells & Cheese single serve cups due to possible wire pieces

ORTHFIELD, Ill. - Kraft Foods is voluntarily recalling three varieties of Velveeta Shells & Cheese single serve microwaveable cups due to the possible presence of small, thin wire bristle pieces in the food.

The following products are being recalled:

Velveeta Shells & Cheese original microwaveable 2.39 oz. cups with a "best when used by date" of May 16, 2012. UPC #2100002322.

Velveeta Shells & Cheese original four pack 2.39 oz. microwaveable cups with "best when used by dates" of April 24, 2012 to May 16, 2012. UPC #2100002339.

Velveeta Shells & Cheese made with 2% milk microwaveable 2.19 oz. cups with "best when used by dates" of March 25, 2012 to March 30, 2012. UPC #2100002323.

6. Scared me.

I just ate a Kraft MW macaroni & cheese. It wasn't the shells though.

By the time I finished typing this I realized I've no doubt eaten worse, but it's good they're doing the right thing without a lawsuit.

Still, since I've probably met my required daily amount of wire, I think I'll check the date code anyway.
