New poll shows Bush edge in critical Pa.
http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/4798143/

HARRISBURG, PA. - President Bush has edged ahead of Democrat John Kerry in Pennsylvania, according to a poll of voters in the critical swing state won by Al Gore in 2000.

In a three-way race, Republican Bush is supported by 45 percent of the state’s voters, compared with 39 percent for Democrat Kerry and 8 percent for independent candidate Ralph Nader, according to the poll released Wednesday by the Quinnipiac University Polling Institute. The rest were undecided.

2. Are you sure about Ralph?

How do you know he won't be on the ballot? Hope you're right.

18. PA primary is in 5 days
Who do you vote for to send Kerry the message to quit slipping right and come out with more new ideas like that overseas-corporate-profits-taxation deal of his?

21. Went to Nader website
For each state he has what is needed to get on the ballot.

It says: Need 25,697 valid signatures our goal is 40,000 by August 2.

26. He is not close to meeting his PA goals.
PA is very hard to get on the ballot.

IT will be very difficult for him to get on.

3. I won't ever believe the validity of another poll
not a single one. This is another example. If anyone truly believes that Bush is getting 45% and Kerry 39, that is bad enough, but no one, and I mean no one, should entertain the notion that Nader is polling at 8%. Perhaps this poll would have some validity if it noted that the margin of error was + or - 29%.

5. Nader had a very enthusiastic band of supporters in 2000,
and he didn't even get 3% nationwide! As one of those supporters, and familiar with many other staunch 2000 Naderites, he'll poll VERY little in the Seattle area... even less where the vote is crucial.

I don;t know how reliable that Quinnipiac poll is, but read this article by toe-sucker Dick Morris: http://www.nypost.com/postopinion/opedcolumnists/22968.htm

Be harshly realistic, but don't be deer_in_the_headlights defeatist.

12. Take Nader out.. add 8% to Kerry..
..not one of the Nader people will vote for Bush. Nada. Think of it on happier terms.. Bush can't even get a measly 50% there. Nader is hurting the Democrats. There is just something seriously wrong with that guy... thinks he's some sort of savior, when in fact he's just plain annoying! Go away RALPH!!!

17. Nader campaign claims matching funds
Edited on Thu Apr-22-04 01:09 AM by mulethree
http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/4797611/

Independent presidential candidate Ralph Nader raised about $600,000 in the two months since he announced his candidacy, enough money to qualify for federal matching funds and well ahead of the fund-raising pace he set four years ago

"Unlike the major-party candidates we are not dialing for corporate dollars,” Nader said in a statement.“We’re doing better than last time despite the fear of the liberal intelligentsia,” Zeese said. “And we’re starting to establish ourselves as the only clear anti-war campaign.”

Nader has not yet qualified to be on the ballot in any state, but Zeese said the campaign expects to qualify in about a dozen “easy” states in the next few weeks. The first likely would be in Colorado and Louisiana, which require filing fees but no voter signatures.

19. Eh....
Bush at 45% is believable. Nader's numbers are inflated. Undecideds favor Kerry. At worst, I think this poll is a dead heat like many others.
