Man arrested after e-mail threat to Kerry
http://www.salon.com/news/wire/2004/04/21/threat/

A man has been charged with sending an e-mail threatening presidential candidate Sen. John Kerry.

<snip>

A federal indictment released Tuesday charges Ruppert with making a threat to the candidate and states he ‘‘did knowingly and willfully threaten to kill, kidnap and inflict bodily harm upon Senator John Kerry."

<snip>

‘‘Suffice it to say that the threat contained in the e-mail left no doubt in the agents' minds," said a spokesman, Paul Masto. ‘‘There was no ambiguity. It was a direct threat."

5. Right wing talk radio strikes again
Hopefully the charges won't be thrown out or ignored by Bush's friends in the judiciary.

9. why are right wing men
so angry and hateful all the time ? the attacks on kerry remind me a lot of the attacks on clinton. and it's not even about the issues usually.

11. hate radio
They've been getting their "brains" filled with hate for over a decade, now. Regaining the Presidency, if the country is that lucky, is only the first step.

(Though Air America Radio is an early hopeful step/sign.)

Scroll down and this man who died has a son named Robert Jr. Pretty interesting if you read the story about his father.

13. There are always lunactics threatening Presidents and candidates.
I wouldn't assume a freeper connection unless there really is one. And if there is, I'd guess that most of the freepers would condemn his actions, as we would if a poster here did the same thing to Bush.

I went on a Close Up trip to view how my local government worked in the 80s, in downtown Grand Rapids. We sat in on 2 court hearings. The first was a crazy guy who had threatened the life of the President (Reagan, at the time). He had no political agenda, he was just a schizophrenic who wasn't taking his meds. They committed him after finding him guilty, and sent him to the looney bin.
The other case was a welfare fraud one.

14. Eggs Ackley
Wasn't part of the speculation about Hinckley that he was nuts partly because his diet consisted mainly of cheeseburgers?

15. YES: One less vote for Bush in Nevada
These Bush ads that are saturating the airwaves have the effect of pushing some people over the edge. These ads can make fragile people who are not bolted down real tight fly off the handle.

I love it when white male conservatives go to jail.

16. I just hope he's there long enough to get introduced to the boys
. . . the ones that will nickname him "Bridget" and ask him if he wouldn't mind wearing this wig . . .

Welcome to the world your neglect created, Mr. Self Righteous . . .
