Cantor purged from local GOP committee
Source: UPI

RICHMOND, Va., Oct. 15 (UPI) -- House Majority Leader Eric Cantor and other leading Virginia Republicans have been purged from their local party committees.

The reason is their endorsement of Bill Janis, a Republican member of the House of Delegates who is conducting an independent campaign to unseat Matthew Geary, the incumbent commonwealth's attorney in Henrico County, The Washington Post reported Friday. State Attorney General Ken Cuccinelli, Lt. Gov. Bill Bolling and House Speaker Bill Howell are also out, at least temporarily.

1. I am REALLY surprised to hear this...
GOOD news.

The voters will have to purge him from Congress...

Let's hope they do!

2. According to the Article
Expulsion is automatic when they endorse a non-republican in a contested race. Presumably they knew this. So the question becomes: does this matter?

I certainly would love to see him purged from Congress. I wonder if it is possible.

16. golf foursome from hell
A different take on hank jr's golf comment: Boehner, Cantor, Limbaugh and Adolph. I would not compare Boehner to Adolph: Adolph had leadership ability. Or maybe Ryan instead of Limbaugh.

8. It doesn't matter in the least.
I do find it interesting, but that's all it is. How many Dems gave vocal or campaign support to Lieberman when he ran against someone from the Democratic Party? I don't remember the exact number, but it wasn't small, and nothing happened to those rat bastards.
