BREAKING: Michigan Supreme Court denies Rep. Paul Scott appeal - RECALL IS ON!!!

by EclectablogFollow

In a move that has taken many, including ME, by surprise, the Michigan Supreme Court handed down a decision this morning (pdf) http://bloggingformichigan.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/10/143878-2011-10-20-or.pdf denying Rep. Paul Scott's request for a preliminary injunction meaning that his recall is back on for the November 2011 ballot.

As I wrote yesterday, the Michigan Court of Appeals had put an injunction in place on the recall petitions until Scott's appeal of the petition language could be considered. Due to time constraints, this essentially made a 2011 recall null and void. However, the Supreme Court today smacked down Paul's defense and denied his injunction. They basically told Scott that if he was going to pursue something like this, he should have gone to the Supreme Court first rather than dragging it out through the lower courts.

5. I spoke with my cousin in
MI and she did not want to sign the petition to recall the governor BECAUSE she agreed with him that the "poor" who have been receiving welfare and having babies to boot were to lazy to find a job and besides them, the jail system where each inmate cost about $35,000 a year is the problem that MI is broke. Brainwashed much.

I mentioned about the wealthy paying their fair taxes as well as the corporations, she agreed with that also, but she rather villify the poor and criminals as the reason for MI being broke. Now once MI try to put the jail system into private hands, and the poor with no help whatsoever, then the governor will go after something else. Hell, he's consider a dictator already.

Kinda reminds me of history wherein Hilter blamed the Jews.
