George W. Bush draws protesters at Surrey appearance
Source: CBC.ca

About 200 people protesting the arrival of former U.S. president George W. Bush shut down traffic outside the Regional Economic Summit being held in Surrey, B.C.

Bush and former president Bill Clinton arrived shortly after noon Thursday at the annual summit hosted by Mayor Dianne Watts. About 500 people paid $599 each to attend the closed-door afternoon event.

The protest outside the Guildford Sheraton Hotel was organized by several groups, including Amnesty International.

Before the event, police set up a designated safe assembly zone for protesters to congregate on the south side of the hotel in anticipation of a peaceful protest.

3. Whcih fucker? Clinton has almost as many if not more deaths
on his hands from sanctions his administration maintained on Iraq during the 90s. Those sanctions caused the deaths of an estimated 500,000 Iraqi children. Clinton's Sec of State Madeleine Albright could only say the U.S. thought the sanctions were 'worth it'.
