State Senator Scott White found dead
Source: King5 News

A difficult evening for lawmakers in King County and across the state, as they learned tonight that State Senator Scott White was found dead in his hotel room.

The 41-year-old Seattle legislator was in Cle Elum for a Seattle Chamber of Commerce conference, and was on a panel Thursday. He was found in his Suncadia hotel room by housekeeping staff when he failed to check out Friday.

“It’s devastating,” said Rep. Judy Clibborn (D-Seattle), who was on the panel with White. “He was a wonderful person to work with, we worked on the 520 together, he represented Seattle so well and I am just floored at this information, we are going to miss him so much.”

White was vice chair of the Senate Transportation Committee and the Democrats’ majority whip. “I’m at a loss, it is so hard to absorb, he’s got two young children, terrific representative of the 46th district, a colleague of mine, a friend of mine, I’m in shock,” said Sen. Jeanne Kohl-Welles (D-Seattle).

6. Seems a little young to just drop dead from natural causes....
I wonder if his death was from drugs, a medical condition, or is this going to the the 'shot heard around the world', some crazy political extremist action?

Condolences to the family.

8. As I said, it could have been a medical condition, I'm merely speculating.
However, speculatively speaking, if the man WAS murdered, I wonder what that will mean for the country.
