US senator (McCain) talks about military option in Syria
Source: Associated Press

U.S. Senator John McCain says now that NATO military intervention in Libya is ending, military action to protect civilians in Syria might be considered.

... Speaking at the World Economic Forum in Jordan Sunday, the Republican senator said like Libya's Moammar Gadhafi, Syrian President Bashar Assad is committing "mass murder" against his people and warned he will not get away with it. McCain said the Assad regime has "spilled too much blood" and its days are numbered.

9. Its always been the a-holes that have never been in ground combat who've demaded more war.

His perspective would have been a lot different had he been on the jungle ground with a pistol, instead of 20,000 ft. with a stick and a bunch of buttons.

30. What a dumb post.
I want us out of all of these wars as much as anyone but to say someone who spent five years in a jungle cage doesn't have the right to speak is way over the top. Unless you think he made it up.

12. McCain... Bolton... Buchanan
All three of these has-been losers have been interviewed... all serious like... recently.

Who cares what any of them think?

Are they interviewing Edwards? Carter? Kucinich?

Why do geriatric, irrelevant Repugs always get asked what they think, when what they thought when they were relevant didn't even matter?

35. Why - because the Democratic side is represented by Obama, Hillary Clinton and others in the
administration. Neither Kucinich or Edwards ever were experts on the war - or even were favored by most Democrats. Carter likely can get on any show he wants - as can former President Clinton - and likely a few other Democrats (here I would include Kerry and Levin, who chairs Armed Services. )

For the Republicans, expect the Presidential candidates and top Senators - McCain is the ranking member of Armed Services. (Lugar, ranking member of SFRC, likely can get on when he wants to as well.)

32. Moammars' body....
....is not even cold and Gramp's looking for fresh meat....war-mongering pukes are definitely consistent beasts....although, some might say that ridding the world of that piece of Syrian meat wouldn't necessarily be a bad idea....

....but Gramps, we don't deserve to have so much fun, nor can we afford it....maybe if you got your corporate buddies to dig deep to pick up the tab, Obama would think about it....
