Occupy Boston protesters deny graffiti allegations

NECN: John Moroney, Boston, Mass.) - Boston police are looking into whether protesters involved with the Occupy Boston movement are responsible for graffiti that popped up throughout Boston over the weekend.

Spray painted words and markings were found at over 20 locations downtown. The majority of the buildings were banks. Some messages read, 'tax the rich' and 'end the fed.'

Members from the Occupy Boston group say they do not condone the acts of vandalism and deny allegations that they were involved....Boston police plan to look through surveillance video to see if they can identify any suspects.

TV coverage is reporting that the "A" in a circle symbol was part of the vandalism. The people at the Boston OWS site are pissed off at these jerks. Wonder who it was?

It would be a good thing if the blame for this could be placed decisively. The Boston people are doing a good job of being mature and focused, they're working with the police, not against them, and there is a spirit of cooperation present between the encampment, law enforcement, and the mayor's office; so this kind of shit is not helpful.

Can't speak to Maine, but you would be hard pressed to find a more docile group than Occupy Boston.
