Study: corporations placing own limits on political spending
Source: LA Times

Faced with the option of limitless political spending in a post-Citizens United world, corporations are increasingly choosing to disclose, and in some cases limit, their giving, according to a study released Friday.

The report, created by the Center for Political Accountability and the Zickling Center for Business Ethics Research at the University of Pennsylvania's Wharton School, evaluated companies using numerous criteria, including board oversight of political giving, disclosure practices and restrictions on political spending.

The study also named a "top 10" for political transparency of S&P 100 companies: Colgate-Palmolive Co., Exelon Corp., International Business Machines, Merck & Co. Inc., Johnson & Johnson, Pfizer Inc., United Parcel Service Inc., Dell Inc., Wells Fargo & Co., and EMC Corp.

and the whole "policing themselves" tactic is old and tired.

3. How about this...? No limits on giving or spending coupled with a full disclosure requirement.
I don't have a problem with spending (Obama will out-spend everyone) so long as I know where the money is coming from.

4. money in politics is part of the problem
so I'm against billions being pumped in by corporations, transparency or no.

going to be convinced by this kind of BS. These creeps would never stop investing in what they consider to be in their best interest. How is this different from from what ALL americans and the govt. believe in the RIGHT thing to do.
