Portland police clear Occupy Portland encampment at Terry Schrunk Plaza
Source: Oregonian

Portland police removed Occupy Portland protesters from Terry Schrunk Plaza about 4 a.m. Tuesday, taking down tents and arresting nine protesters who would not move.

Marshall Kay, 35, who has been camping for two and a half weeks, said he and his friend Ian Lavallee, 27 were walking around the encampment near the Justice Center about 4 a.m. and saw a large group of officers putting on riot gear.

Forty to 50 Portland police with nightsticks and helmets took down tents as dozens of Occupy Portland campers stand and scream things such as: "The whole world is watching" and "The tents will go back."

The camp in the Park blocks is still there, this was an attempted expansion.

4. another Democratic mayor arrests occupiers.
Of all the cities whyere occupiers have had problems so far, only Nashville and Albuquergue have had Republican Mayors and only God knows what Bloomberg is.

He's been Republican, Democratic and Independent.

Mostly, he's what works best for Bloomberg at the moment.

5. Actually, the Feds arrested them..
they were going to do it whether Adams cooperated or not, he thought using our local police would be more peaceful than the fed options (Nat. Guard? or Federal cops, not locals).

I think he made the right call.

7. Time for the 99% to take back law enforcement from the Police Militias that have taken over...
America, using OUR TAX DOLLARS.

Guess the Police have really forgotten who pays their wages, benefits and perks.
