Cain defends himself, says he never changed story
Source: AP-Excite

By SHANNON McCAFFREY

WASHINGTON (AP) - Presidential candidate Herman Cain said Tuesday that he never changed his story about sexual harassment allegations against him in the 1990s while he was the head of the National Restaurant Association, despite giving a series of conflicting statements in the two days since the accusations were disclosed.

A day earlier, Cain had said he was unaware of a financial settlement given a female employee in connection with allegations Cain had engaged in inappropriate sexual behavior. He later acknowledged he was aware of an "agreement" but not a settlement.

"It was an agreement. So it looked like I had changed my story. I didn't change my story," Cain told CNN's Headline News. "The difference between settlement and agreement, it makes a difference to me."

Over the past two days, Cain has admitted he knew of one agreement between the National Restaurant Association and a woman who accused him of sexual harassment. He has said the woman initially asked for a large financial settlement but ultimately received two to three months' pay as part of a separation agreement. Cain also acknowledged remembering one of the woman's accusations against him, saying he stepped close to her to make a reference to her height, and told her she was the same height as his wife.

3. Cuckoo for Cocoa Puffs.
He's doing the worst thing he can do - trying to ease his way into a comfortable storyline. Weiner did the same thing and it backfired. Hopefully, this dumbass will fail, too.

6. I saw all the various versions of his story, and I say
he didn't flip-flop. Yes he did. No he didn't. Yes he did. And I stand by that.

7. Because of all this flip-flopping I'm now certain that he harassed those women.
I was reasonably certain before, but now I have no doubt. You don't "forget" that your organization had to settle allegations of sexual harassment against you. Whether true or not true, that is the sort of thing that people remember.

9. I thought agreements are agreeable, and settlements usually aren't.

I it would seem he would know the difference at least by what his lawyer had him sign and the amount of money he had to pay.

Looks like another Republican hopeful has bit the dust. My question is, he knew this was in his history. Why did he run? And why did he not have some response prepared for it?

One after another these Repub candidates show their personality disorders.

or deny their settlements and agreements.
