Source: AP-Excite

By RACHEL COHEN

NEW YORK (AP) - Talk about a backdoor cut.

The announcement Thursday that negotiations to end the NBA lockout would resume were followed by reports that some players are investigating the possibility of decertifying the union.

The NBA players union said it would begin negotiating with the owners again on Saturday, maintaining that the players are unified as they seek to end the lockout.

Union president Derek Fisher, executive director Billy Hunter and executive committee members said after meeting for about three hours Thursday that there was no truth to reports of a rift among them.

1. An old employers tactic
Create a "rift in the ranks." Where are the names?

2. What... are they going to make them go back to college?
Most of 'em could use a lot more education and the threat of a lifetime of debt.

3. They've used up their eligibility; Without that, they couldn't get admitted.

4. The NBA wouldn't cut its own throat

Without the players the NBA wouldn't exist.

Nor would it continue to exist if they suited up second rate players.

5. A year w/o the NBA is like a year w/o a hole the head.
They should just do away with the NBA in its entirety forever. No one except some degenerate gamblers and their bookies would miss it.

8. A lot of people would miss it, including myself
I find it to be much more entertaining than baseball or hockey, but that's just my opinion. :hi:

6. Give me names...give me faces...give me exact numbers...
I've seen this game played at my employer.

We are non-union. When ever a union vote has come up, there is this "mass" of employees
that don't want a union.

Do we see the "mass"? Hell no...We are only told that by management...they do pony out a people to
say how BAD a union would be for us. Funny thing...those few persons have always been one that
have a "finger in the pie" and get used for "special" assignments.

Amazing how people these days supposedly want all this stuff, that is NOT in their best interest.
