Detroit— The Occupy Detroit movement has been asked to leave Grand Circus Park, the group's home since mid-October.
"The city put up signs saying that the park had to be vacated by 10 p.m.," said Lee Gaddies, one of the movement's organizers.
Occupy Detroit is holding an emergency meeting tonight at 9 p.m. at the Hazen S. Pingree statue on the corner of Woodward and Adams to discuss further action.
More than 100 people have pitched dozens of tents and have been camping in Grand Circus Park. The group is operating in the same vein as Occupy Wall Street and is asking for economic and social change.
