Ex-SC GOP Official Calls Pelosi C-Word On Twitter, Tells TPM It Was A Joke
Source: TalkingPointsMemo.com

Warning: The post contains the exact words of the texts sent out

Herman Cain’s "Princess Nancy" line at Wednesday's CNBC debate inspired different things in different people.

For former South Carolina Republican Party Executive Director Todd Kincannon, it was a license to go a little wild on Twitter.

Some of Kincannon’s tweets following the Cain line (which Cain later walked back), as first snagged by Amanda Terkel:

@ToddKincannon: @TeresaKopec The Crabby Cunt from the California Coast"? #NancyPelosi
@ToddKincannon: @TeresaKopec Or how about “The Botox Bitch from Buggeryland”? That seems to work for Nancy Pelosi too.
@ToddKincannon: @TeresaKopec Would you prefer Nancy the Crooked Whore? More accurate, but also more words.

He later walked one of these back, but not for the reason you might think:

@aterkel I wish I could walk back the "Nancy the Crooked Whore" thing. It's not alliterative.

Kincannon is known in Palmetto State GOP politics, and his Twitter feed is legendary for being incendiary — or, as Kincannon calls it, joke-filled. Needless to say, the Pelosi stuff went beyond what even Kincannon followers are used to, and it grabbed the attention of progressives on Twitter as well as media outlets like the Huffington Post.

Kincannon took the mini-controversy in stride.

“I think a lot of people need to learn how to take a joke,” he told TPM, “and I’ll leave it at that.”

8. Yes, and sometimes I wonder about dems...Is three "recs" is all the "outrage" this can muster?
Most men, DUers included, don't seem to give a flying fuck about

women being shat upon-- even when that woman is our house speaker.

I'm thoroughly disgusted.:(

It's just that I see so MANY news stories about

harm and insult coming to women which either go

largely ignored or angrily "defended"

and/or minimized by the men here.

I wasn't, btw, vilifying all of DU's men.

76. "Operation Chaos"...
was in 2007 during the democratic primaries. He urged his listeners to come to places like DU and sow dissension. It has worked pretty well- if you ever ask yourself "what is this poster doing on DU?" look at the join date. A lot of times it will be in 2007 or later.

64. Women are really suffering the lingering nonsense
of religious dictates. Think subserviance, think burkas - think religious Right. ALL nonsenses DICK-tated and perpetuated by men. And I'm a guy, BTW.

Alot of the disrespectful commentary we're seeing from the Right is borne of the condensation their ideology is experiencing. After what happened this Tuesday - what with the 99ers REALLY taking their country back - it's gotta be scary being a part of the party of me and mine. Slinging gender epithets is a display of panic and futility release. Not that they'd ever admit to that. You know "It's just a joke!"

36. Their are women who are just as callous as men.
Especially when it comes to money and wealth. I know some and they make me as sick as their male counterparts. There are plenty of these women in (mainly R) politics. Unfortunately, their are also entitled (D) women.

Yes, those were especially disgusting names that this asshole called Pelosi. But I don't think that elitism is a male/female thing. There are disgusting assholes of both sexes who feel entitled (like Marie Antoinette). They are our enemies too.

That, IMO. is why women, men, minorities, etc. vote Republican. Unfortunately, while the repubs are more open about it, we have a lot of the corporate lackeys in our party.

41. Why would any self-respecting woman vote Republican?

Because most Republican women are the ones who are "brainwashed" and also step-ford wives!!! This classless, clueless idiot whose disgusting verbal assault on Nancy Pelosi is the pefect example of how most Republicans really think of women. The Republican Debate last night showed how really pathetic this field of candidates are. The debate showed that the Republicans could care less about creating jobs & will never give President Obama credit saving the auto industry Republican agenda is to do nothing.

course the only ladies who still use the word are usually old school porn stars. The new ones are more interested in pussy and cock. (where the cock fight go) another double meaning word. actually both are. although Pussy Galore is hardly going to argue right now :P

considering some other idiot called someone a whore lately , thats probably why he did that.

46. Interesting tidbit about kincannon
He has been looking for plaintiffs to join a class action lawsuit against Righthaven.

From 9/13/2011

I asked Todd Kincannon, the lawyer signing up plaintiffs for a Righthaven class action, what he thought of the company’s claim that it was on the verge of bankruptcy.

“I always knew Righthaven would file bankruptcy if things got rough,” Kincannon told me by e-mail. “They
were set up as a limited liability company just so they could do that. Fortunately, Stephens Media, MediaNews Group, Sherman Frederick, Steve Gibson, and Dickinson Wright all seem to have plenty of money.”

I kind of thought he might think that.

The truth is that Righthaven’s bankruptcy, if and when it comes to that, won’t be the end of the Righthaven story. Instead, it will be the beginning of the second half.

Over its first year and a half, Righthaven was on the offense, swooping down on unsuspecting bloggers and holding them up for a few thousand dollars a piece. Then, in June, the Democratic Underground decision came down, and the tide reversed. Things are now swooping down on Righthaven. Not only does Kincannon have his nascent class-action, but there’s the strong possibility of bar discipline against Righthaven attorneys, and you can even see the potential for criminal charges (federal racketeering charges and conspiracy to obstruct justice, for instance).

54. Looks Mainstream Republican To Me
Therefore it is really not news. Does Kincannon have a wife or daughters and how must this make them feel. Kincannon shows what a race to the bottom looks like and it sure ain't pretty. How can any self respecting woman vote Republican given this extreme level of disrespect. He would make a "good" VP candidate for Cain.

Likewise earth to Kincannon; hate is not a joke just like putting a range target on Gabby Gifford's district in Arizona turned out to be a tragic joke.

55. I have been in the south for 30 years
and I am over it. I was in Denver and I am originally from up north. My kids are at UGA and it's my final conclusion the the culture in the south is toxic. i travel quite a bit and go to SF all the time. I have never seen such disrespect for people. They hide it behind a mask as southern hospitality.

My hairdresser's daughter also went to UGA and she said the men are fat and cocky. I was recently with a beautiful women at a trade show who was from Texas. She not only agreed about how crappy men treat women in the south. She told me she will never date a southern man again and she has 5 brothers.

I do not want my daughter to ever get involved with a southern man and I know it is generalizing but I'm sorry this culture is toxic and I am trying to get out of here as fast as possible.
Herman Cain is not an isolated instance. He is part of the culture.

67. Feel bad for Pelosi. Apparently, his hatred doesn't embarrass him in the slightest.

This is as loathsome an insult as anyone could make. If he uses it publicly against a political enemy far away who he has probably never met, imagine what he calls his personal enemies!

All I could say is, it's an election year now. If the Republicans want to unzip their hatred for every voter to recoil from, bring it on.
