Carmona running for Arizona Senate seat

Former U.S. Surgeon General Richard Carmona says he’s
jumping into the U.S. Senate race.

In October Carmona said he was pondering a run, though he noted then
that he wanted to talk to U.S. Rep. Gabrielle Giffords before deciding to run.

Carmona said then that part of the holdup was the idea of launching
a career in politics, noting he's been relatively apolitical since his return to Tucson.
