Occupy SF protester runs afoul of police again

A 23-year-old San Fernando Valley man cited for carrying a concealed semiautomatic handgun in the Occupy SF encampment Tuesday was arrested the next day for allegedly menacing a city park ranger inspecting the camp, police said.

Jonathan Waknine, a resident of the Valley Village neighborhood in Los Angeles, was cited Tuesday after a fellow protester at Justin Herman Plaza reported that he had a gun, said police spokesman Sgt. Daryl Fong.

Officers found an unloaded semiautomatic pistol on Waknine's right hip, Fong said.
