Madison - The recall effort against GOP Gov. Scott Walker and Lt. Gov. Rebecca Kleefisch will start at midnight, organizers said Monday.

"We are going to be filing online (with the state) just after midnight that will allow us to start collecting the signatures," Meagan Mahaffey, executive director of United Wisconsin, said. "There are some midnight collection events around the state. People are ready to go and want to start as soon as possible. There's a lot of excitement about it."
.......

A big rally is planned for Madison at the state Capitol on Saturday and some groups are also planning a rally for Walker's home in Wauwatosa on Tuesday. Trainings on gathering recall petitions were also being held in Madison and other locations on Monday........

Recall efforts will also be launched against three Republican senators on Tuesday, said Graeme Zielinski, spokesman for the state Democratic Party. Those targeted are Pam Galloway of Wausau, Terry Moulton of Chippewa Falls and Van Wanggaard of Racine, Zielinski said....

1. BTW-this is the first time the Journal has posted that 3 Republicans
would be recalled also although it has not been a secret.

The Milwaukee Journal endorsed Walker BTW.

But other major newspapers across the state have not published this fact either (perhaps today they will).

2. Hopefully the recall Walker effort will wrap up before 30 days
with more than 5x the signatures needed to execute the recall.

Fitzy is going bye bye too. Both of them.

10. The petitions cannot be delivered until January
The earliest date that the petitions can be delivered to the state election authority is the first anniversary of Walker's inauguration, which is about January 3. It might be wise to continue collecting signatures through the entire 60 days allowed in order to have as many as possible extras to account for challenges (which undoubtedly will come).

3. "The material will be reviewed by retired police officers and FBI agents"
Instilling fear is their objective.

Also, a major RW talk radio host--Charlie Stykes has promised to read all the names and addresses off the air once he gets the petitions.

.............Meanwhile, the state Republican Party has set up an online "recall integrity center" to help build evidence of fraud. If Democrats submit enough signatures to recall the governor, Walker will have a brief period to try to prevent a recall by challenging some of the signatures.

The site allows Walker backers to submit photos, videos and complaints to the Republican Party. The purpose of the site is to protect voters who "suspect foul play by Wisconsin Democrats or big government union bosses," said a statement from Stephan Thompson, the party's executive director. The material will be reviewed by retired police officers and FBI agents, Thompson said..........

5. Well, we know Walker will be fully funded and backed by the Kochroaches
I'm sure the recall effort's integrity committee will check everything out, documented everything, backed everything up with supporting document, and Walker can't even challenge one single signature that has been properly vetted.

12. So far, the only fraud I've heard about is the Tea partiers planning to
collect signatures and then burn them.

I hope that the Democrats have figured a way for signers to be sure their signature isn't going into a Tea Party bonfire.

Nothing more to say really....

Senate Majority Leader Scott Fitzgerald got his fellow Republicans chortling in a speech that belittled the Capitol protesters: "It's been a long time since I've been around this many people who weren't chanting and yelling, sometimes at me. And I also got to tell you, you all smell a lot better, too."

Could the Republicans be any clearer in their condescension toward the rabble? Fitzgerald is talking about the ordinary working-class people who oppose Gov. Scott Walker's agenda of taking from the poor and middle class to keep taxes low for corporations and the wealthy. His comment about their bad smell is like something you'd hear from an evil cartoon patrician, like Scrooge McDuck or The Simpsons' Mr. Burns.

The Wisconsin Republicans aren't even bothering to hide their revulsion toward their social inferiors anymore, even though we make up at least half of the state they're ruling.

I'm one of the Wis. state-employees Gov. Fuckface took bargaining rights from and I'm determined to do all I can to see his ass kicked out of office.
