Japan farm radioactive levels probed

New research has found that radioactive material in parts of north-eastern Japan exceeds levels considered safe for farming.

The findings provide the first comprehensive estimates of contamination across Japan following the nuclear accident in 2011.

Food production is likely to be affected, the researchers suggest.

The results are reported in the Proceedings of National Academy of Sciences (PNAS) journal.

Anybody surprised that the radiation levels are higher then anticipated in that area?

These levels aren't surprising. My gut feeling was that it might be somewhat worse than this.

She said that she wouldn't touch their water; nor would her friends and family. They only used bottled water. She said that the fear of tainted food over there is abundant yet most people won't discuss it. Wonder when their media will start reporting the truth? Seems their 1% talk with our 1%...
