Greek Cypriots 'reject UN plan'
If official results confirm the massive "no" vote later on Saturday, Cyprus will remain divided when it joins the European Union on 1 May.

Voters in the Turkish north were expected to back the UN plan, which required approval from both sides.

EU laws and benefits will apply only to the Greek Cypriot community if either side rejects the UN plan.

One exit poll said 78.5% of the Greek Cypriot population voted "no", while another put the figure at 73.5%.
