According to a report in the Washington Post dated April 23,2004, Condi Rice was attending a dinner party,off the record, with a group of reporters. During the dinner, she supposedly said,"As I was telling my husband..." After everyone picked their mouths off of the floor - she said,"As I was telling President Bush----"

Notice the excuses and possible interpretations the writer comes up with.
Now remember the stories of Hillary throwing the lamp at President Clinton, her supposed affair with Vince Foster followed by his possible murder, Chelsea's "real" father, Web Hubell, and of course Hillary's deep, dark secret: the fact she was a lesbian. Of course the list goes on and on about the Clintons.

I don't recall any news source bending over backwards to tell the truth - they let all the rumors float around. But Condi spills a doozy and the WaPo can't wait to tell us why she really didn't really mean what everyone heard.

Why doesn't she get a life of her own? What wife would approve of a single 46 year old spending all holidays with their family?

I remember seeing Condi walk in to the State dinner with the Queen when Bush went to London last year. She never looked better in a dynamite brown dress! My first thought was, she is dressed like the wife of the US President should be dressed, not the National Security Adviser.

I think their relationship is not only fair game, it has a direct bearing on the way the WH is run.

She reads to him in the morning, Laura doesn't.

I am searching my brain for a historical comparison in the Presidency but I can't think of any right now. Nancy Reagan did most of the talking in King Ronnie's later years but she was his wife!

Condi has more power now than Nancy, Jacqui and even Hilliary ever had. They were the wives of the presidents. They slept with their husband(we believe) on most nights.

Condi is on the staff of the president and she wheels a TON of power.

I think the tabloids should look into this one! They looked behind every closet door for the Clinton's. This would not be that difficult.
