þ ISLAMABAD, April 26 (KUNA) -- The Pakistan on Monday reiterated that there þ
þis no departure in Pakistan's position about sending troops to Iraq.þ
þ "Pakistan believes that any contribution of troops must be welcomed by þ
þpeople of Iraq, their presence should be productive and under the UN mandate þ
þand the decision should be in line with the aspirations of our people", þ
þForeign Office spokesman Masood Khan said at his weekly press briefing.þ
þ He said there is request from the United States for contributing troops for þ
þprotection of UN mission in Iraq and as when established. "The matter is under þ
þconsideration and there is no commitment on the part of Pakistan".þ
