Al-Qaeda chemical attack foiled
JORDAN foiled a chemical attack linked to al-Qaeda against the intelligence services with trucks loaded with 20 tonnes of explosives that could have killed 80,000 people, security officials said today.

Members of the network were arrested and others killed, they said on state television, which showed pictures of the men who are on trial and a confession of the planned attack.
The television also ran footage of "chemicals that terrorists from al-Qaeda were trying to make explosives with" as well as "trucks that terrorists planned to load with 20 tonnes of chemical explosives in a suicide attack against the General Intelligence Department".

"This operation, which would have been the largest in the history of the kingdom in terms of its volume and number of victims, would have killed 80,000 Jordanian citizens," the report said.

3. SSSSUUUUURRRRREEEE They Did!
I believe them completely. Not! It is now a lessoned learned by the world leaders. Look like a strong man, law and order tough guy, by telling people what you did to pre-empt and event that didn't actually occur.

Li'l Georgie's actions are starting to rub off on others.

5. I'm having trouble swallowing this one.
Stories last week were talking about how the chemicals were smuggled in from Syria, leading me to suspect it's part of a frame up of Damascus, to support the case that its in league with al Qaeda and harbouring terrorists, to justify carrying the war across its borders.
