2. That was quick...
...at this rate all of the non-American coalition forces can be out of Iraq by June 1, 2004. Was that part of the Bush/Cheney/Rumsfeld Plan?:freak:

4. Spain just pushed the first domino.
On NPR this morning, they had some guy talking about his son who was the first fallen soldier for Wisconsin. He said his son wanted to go to Iraq because he was furious about what they did to 4000 Americans. I was appalled that these idiots make a connection with 9/11 and Iraq when it's been all over the world there is none. Do they live under a rock or a big hunk of cheese?

their base was in Najaf. Does that seem wierd to you? Spainards move out Americans move in. It doesn't take much for me to start foiling. I am always suspicious of how stories are told, and how motivations explained to the world. It is just a little convenient, don't ya think?

edit; i before e except after c

12. OK. But you gotta promise not to tell my shrink.
I always try to look at the bigger picture. I always assume that manipulation is being attempted when official story-lines are paraded out for the public's consumption.

I have assumed that the current escalation in Iraq is motivated by one of two factors. It is either extreme stupidity, or an attempt to cause a holy war that will ultimately lead to engagement by other Middle-East countries. Either of which it appears to me will cause unacceptable (to the American public) American casualties. Which could rally the country behind a military draft and the advancement of the PNAC agenda.

The timing of the Spanish withdrawal, and the stand-off in Najaf I find suspect. Nothing new here, I suspect everyone and everything. I just wonder what went on behind the scenes that caused this coincidence.

13. Very interesting.
So the idea would be that this is a kind of "set bait" situation, with the "bait" being both the Iraqi (and world) Shi'ites and the US military. The Imperialsts hope that the Iraqis take the bait (meaning many US troops killed, an escalation that would include the destruction of a Holy Site or two and the general conflagration of the entire area),thus cementing the US into a course of action that the US public would not only not oppose, but actively support.

Not bad. This does play right into the PNAC agenda and nothing would be beneath these sons of bitches. We'll have to keep a close eye on this thing. I find it hard to accept that Spain would collude with the PNACers on this, but the Spanish military is, after all, military - and thereby might be willing to "step up" its withdrawal if asked to by Killer Kermit and his Lord.

(And don't worry, I believe that everyones shrink should be "off limits" here) :P

10. Najaf is a tinderbox
...just waiting to explode. The Spaniards know this and this could explain why they high tailed out before June (which was their earlier ship out date)
