Former IL Democratic Party chairman dies.

Just heard on the radio here that State Sen. Vince DeMuzio, 62 of Carlinville, has died after a long battle with colon cancer.

For those who do not recognize the name, Sen. DeMuzio served as chairman of the Illinois Democratic Party and engineered the 'Illinois Miracle' of 2002, where Democrats gained control of all 3 branches of state government, a 'trifecta' that had eluded the party for 2 generations.

May God rest his soul.
