Blair Defends U.S. Assault on Fallujah

LONDON - British Prime Minister Tony Blair (news - web sites) on Wednesday defended U.S. tactics in the assault on the Iraqi city of Fallujah, rejecting a legislator's assertion that the attack amounted to the "murder or mutilation of hundreds of women and children."

Rather, Blair said, "There is a situation in Fallujah where we have a large number of very well-armed former regime elements, and probably some outside terrorists as well ... and it is right that the American forces try to make sure that order is restored to that city.

2. Restoring order by assault..peace through war...what a thug this
sleazebag is. Why don't Brits throw him out? They are more politically saavy by far than Americans, how much longer are they going to let this guy ruin their country?

He probably set Labour back at least 50 years.

12. Seems that, in general, New Labour is rooting for aggressors and invaders
therefore the place for Tony and his sycophantic followers is behind bars in
the Hague...

5. Wow, a legislator actually publicly asserted the attack was murder,
or mutilation of women and children!!! Damn. We need some legislators like that here in the USA!

6. Blair can and must defend every new act of murder
Lest the mass murder he has already committed be exposed even more widely for what it is.

Tony Blair is a murderer, and no better than a common serial killer.

15. Here's a clue for you Tony
I guess it hasn't dawned on the Blairites that the US tactics might not actually be working. Here's a letter that was sent to Tony Blair this week. Judging by these answers at PMQ's he has not heeding its good advice.

16. Just out of curiosity...
What exactly would the U.S. government have to do in order to NOT be supported and endorsed by Blair? What act would be so heinous that even he would see the merit in speaking out against it? (Or doesn't that scenario even exist?)

17. There was a slight difference of opinion a week or so ago
Between poodle and chimp. It was Iraq related - I forget the precise subject, as I didn't think it mattered much at the time. I thought they would quickly kiss and make up, which now seems to be bearing out.
