Both measures of family economics up 0.4 percent in March; spending rise less than expected.

NEW YORK (CNN/Money) - Personal income gains kept pace with spending gains in March, according to government data, with the consumption rise below Wall Street expectations.

1. Money supply continues 9% growth
The M2 aggregate, which includes currency, demand deposits, savings deposits, small time deposits and retail money market accounts, rose 9.5 percent annualized in the 13 weeks ended April 12.

So.while the 0.3% measure of inflation above is only tied to spending, the personal consumption expenditure price index, it still increased 0.3 percent last month - and after a brief decrease in the rate of money supply growth, it looks like the Fed is desparate to get Bush elected in Nov 04.
