Clear shrubbery to counter Al Qa'ida, advises MI5
Britain's spy chiefs publicly issued normally secretive anti-terrorist advice today to help the country combat global security dangers.

MI5, on a new website, has included a top 10 list of good practice points for dealing with the terrorist threat in advice mainly aimed at the business community.

The guidance calls on firms to have "security awareness", to train staff in emergency procedures and even warns of the perils of dense shrubbery.

Here's the actual passage from the MI5 website.

4. Ensure good basic housekeeping in and around your buildings - for example, keep public areas tidy and well-lit, remove any unnecessary furniture, keep garden areas free from dense shrubbery.

4. Yes- I can think of a 'Rose' garden that needs a little work...
Maybe we should donate that particular 'shrubbery' to the Knights Who Say 'Ni'.

I'm sure they'd get along just fine! :)

3. Deadhead woody shrubs. Apply dormant spray on those fruit trees.
Sounds like very good advice.. for a gardener!! This is up there with the plastic wrap and duct tape advice.

11. The Knights Who Say Ni
demanded a shrubbery as a sacrifice. My first thought, too. "We want... a shrubbery!"

12. "Bring us another.......SHURBBERY!"
Edited on Fri Apr-30-04 05:23 PM by icymist
"Not too tall, kind of offsetting the other shrubbery, with a path in the middle!"
PATH! PATH!

"And after that, we want you to chop down the largest tree in the forest......with....a HERRING!"

(Not in the original words, just how I remember it) :)

on edit: I just thought of how the first shrub could be Bush I, the second shrub, Junior, and the path as Clinton! Could this be a prophetic scene from Monty Python? Hmmmm...
