U.S. Military Deaths in Iraq - 751 U.S. service members have died

As of Monday, May 3, 751 U.S. service members have died since the beginning of military operations in Iraq (news - web sites) last year, according to the Department of Defense (news - web sites). Of those, 548 died as a result of hostile action and 203 died of non-hostile causes. snip


Since May 1, 2003, when President Bush (news - web sites) declared that major combat operations in Iraq had ended, 611 U.S. soldiers have died — 437 as a result of hostile action and 174 of non-hostile causes, according to the military's numbers.

The combat deaths are accelerating, every day

It used to be a bad day was three killed, this is a good day these days

10. yes I agree many more to die after
all of those pictures have been released they are going to be going for blood now. Can you imagine what the US would have done if instead of showing the soldier who was caught from Ohio sitting with his uniform on if a picture of him naked and hooded and beaten. And now I can only imagine what will happen to the pow's now or if they will just be killed instead as most wouldn't even be able to commit such atrocities for revenge.

I am certain that I heard Paul "cry" Wolfowitz say, just last week, that there were approximately 500 killed. Surely you can't be saying that he's wrong? (I guess that "approximately" is the operative word there.) :crazy:
What a shame and a waste.
