(Bloomberg) U.S. Denies Rumsfeld Approved Iraq Interrogations
U.S. Denies Rumsfeld Approved Iraq Interrogations

May 16 (Bloomberg) -- U.S. Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld and other officials didn't approve any operations that led to the interrogation methods used on Iraqi prisoners at the Abu Ghraib prison, the Defense Department said.

The denial was made in response to an article on the New Yorker magazine Web site which said Rumsfeld had approved expanding an interrogation program that had been used in Afghanistan to hunt for al-Qaeda.

Rumsfeld faced calls for his resignation from Democrats in the Congress after the mistreatment of Iraqi prisoners at Abu Ghraib prison were exposed in a series of pictures. Rumsfeld and U.S. military investigators have said the mistreatment was the work of a few undisciplined soldiers.

1. The U.S. Didn't Deny It.
The Bush administration did so. Big difference. This is the most corrupt administration ever (s)elected in this country and they certainly don't represent the American people.

How they can deny responsibility or accountablity for differing policies in the Iraqi prison, Gitmo, and Afghanistan of detainees is astounding.

New allegations come forth every day about abuse and torture at these sites.

My bottom line question is why do the Bushies feel the need to torture and abuse these select Iraqis. Do they think they hold the key to WMD's and chemical warfare? Maybe they were engineers on designing the aircraft that could deliver mushroom clouds to America within 45 minutes? Face it, Bush took us for a ride and he and his administration should be tossed out on their butts and possibly held for war crime charges. Maybe taxpayers can sue to recoup our taxes that were used for immoral purposes and paybacks to his corporate donors. Bush has used American citizens also.

3. Finally. At long last I have hope.
There is NO way they can spin their way out of this. The ship is taking on water. They've got to unload some bad cargo. They'll dump Rumsfeld, believe me. And Cambone. Maybe they'll try throwing him overboard first to see if it placates the public. If that isn't enough, then they will give Old Rum the heave-ho.

What a long 3 1/2 years it's been.

4. Rumsfeld lies and everyone knows it.
Problem is, he is a key anchor in the evil empire. If he goes, the whole ship sinks. That is why Bush is told not to ask him to resign.
