Cyangugu, Rwanda - Armed gunmen killed at least one United Nations observer near the eastern Congolese town of Bukavu, a spokesperson said on Saturday as a former rebel commander rejected a UN deadline to return to barracks.
Bukavu has been gripped since Wednesday by fighting between rival army factions, leaving at least 12 dead according to UN and army officials and sending thousands of refugees heading over the nearby border into Rwanda.
UN spokesperson Sebastien Lapierre said a team of four military observers had come under attack about 40km north of Bukavu, late on Friday.

Can we assume as with Israel, most of the Weapons of Mass Destruction are Made in the USA?
