TPM: Bush's Lawyer James Sharp Represented Iran Contra Luminary
More on the president's lawyering up in the Plame case.

The lawyer in question is identified as Jim Sharp. I assume that's James E. Sharp, a Washington attorney who also represented Iran-Contra luminary Richard V. Secord.

That may prove convenient since the case will quite possibly involve some of the players from the old days.

And here is the next logical question.

From everything we know about this case, the probable connections would far more likely be to the vice-president rather than the president. So someone should ask whether Vice President Cheney has lawyered up too.

3. Man, the other shoe always drops with
these people.

With Alawi, it was the fact that he was the source
for the "45 minutes to strike" story before the war.

Geez.

5. Is this Groundhog Day or what?
Why do I have to relive this agony?.... 33 yrs ago it was the watergate break-in shortly before the elections. Of course the assholes stonewalled & tricky dick got re-elected before the fact that he was a petty crook was widely accepted... Here we go again. Another painful, unecessary war, another liar-crook in power & these pricks are going to postpone this thing into 2005....Rove would never allow the chimp to be caught seeking council unless he (chimp) was potentialy in deap shit... Maybe "Groundhog Day" was a better flick than I ever thought.
