U.S. Iraq Military Deaths - 813 U.S. service members have died

As of Thursday, June 3, 813 U.S. service members have died since the beginning of military operations in Iraq (news - web sites) in March 2003, according to the Defense Department. Of those, 596 died as a result of hostile action and 217 died of non-hostile causes. snip

Since May 1, 2003, when President Bush (news - web sites) declared that major combat operations in Iraq had ended, 675 U.S. soldiers have died — 487 as a result of hostile action and 188 of non-hostile causes, according to the military's numbers as of Thursday.

that there is a discrepancy between lunaville and
globalsecurity?

lunaville shows 81 fatalities for May 2004 and globalsecurity
has 92.
