Kerry tops Bush in Maine poll
If the presidential election was held this week, Maine voters would reportedly pick John Kerry over President George W. Bush 49 percent to 39 percent.

The Bangor Daily News said the poll conducted by Critical Insights polling firm indicated the remaining 22 percent were either undecided or favored another candidate.

"I think it says people are not happy with the way things are going," said Critical Insights polling firm chief MaryEllen FitzGerald, noting only 34 percent of those surveyed said they had a favorable opinion of Bush.

"It's been 3 1/2 years, and George W. Bush has yet to answer the fundamental questions people in Maine care about," said Kerry's Maine spokesman, Jesse Derris, citing increased health care costs and continued turmoil in Iraq. "(Bush) still owes a lot of answers to the people of Maine."

2. That poll is several weeks old
The most recent one, from Rasmussen, has Kerry ahead by 19, 54-35.

5. Until I see a poll that says….
Kerry leads the twit in Texas, I won’t have that warm and fuzzy feeling until (hopefully) the day after….

7. Then you're not going to have a warm fuzzy feeling for
5 more months. I already feel great. Bush is GONE.

11. The Bushes are Summer People...
...and that's as low as you can get up here in Vacationland.

Bush pérè finished third to Clinton and Perot here in '92.
