2. Another sign we're all doomed.
Though I'm a bad Canadian: I stopped caring about the NHL when the Leafs failed to advance to the finals ten years ago. I'd been a lifelong Habs fan, but I really liked that Leafs team. (That penalty on Gilmour in overtime of the seventh game of the semi-final against LA in '93 still hurts. Gretzy robbed us!)

6. Damn! The Stanley Cup in a place where there's no natural ice
i mean, rinks where little kids spend winter mornings honing their skills.
this is just too weird.
do they even follow hockey down there?

hell, it's only been a couple of weeks since the ice went out of the lakes here...

7. Being from Texas
and being a Stars fan, YES- we pay attention to hockey "down there". I hope I'm not stepping on any frozen toes for being a fan of ice sports.

16. Please don't mention the Stars...they are THE NORTH STARS...
and we still burn Norm Greed in effigy here once in a while, just for practice.

But hell, the Wild is the team of the future.

12. Yeah
And our football teams play outside on grass like real men...unlike some teams.

8. They deserved it
They looked far hungrier than Calgary did,and played a near perfect defensive game.

Congrats Tampa Bay and thier fans.Take good care of the Cup!

9. Hpoe It Won't Be The LAST Stanley Cup
Congratulations, Tampa!!! I don't want to wake up tomorrow and hear that a bunch of people got arrested. Celebrate responsibly.

With the NHl's labor situation, there will probably be a lockout coming up.

I hope the NHL survives, but, if it does, there will probably be major changes. Maybe contraction.

14. LOL
I enjoy colorado, they give our teams a good run. My husband is a wings fan, so it makes for very interesting games for us (Stars Vs. Wings). Though I have to say, if you guys get any more of our players, I'm just going to convert to a wings fan =)

10. Congrats Tampa
A great series well played by both teams! If Detroit can't have it back this year, at least it goes to a world class owner in Bill Davidson

15. Had Calgary won, we would have heard that this was a portent for Harper
So maybe it is just as well.

19. Lucky bastard!
I've been to two Stanley Cup games (one in Boston and one in New Jersey) but never a 7th game. That must been a fantastic time. And what a third period to close it out to!
