At Abu Ghraib, U.S. has lost track of dozens of detainees
http://www.philly.com/mld/inquirer/8904054.htm?1c

<snip>
Mohamed Khaled Saleem's parents thought their 15-year-old son's disappearance six months ago was unique until their search led them this month to Abu Ghraib, the vast American-run prison where graphic photos of soldiers abusing Iraqi inmates were taken.

American administrators have lost track of dozens of detainees inside Abu Ghraib in the last year, according to human-rights workers, former inmates, a former prison investigator, attorneys, detainees' families, and prisoner-rights groups. With no clearinghouse for missing-person reports and technical errors in the intake process, families such as Saleem's can do little but wait outside the tall prison gates in hopes that someone recognizes the missing men pictured on their photocopied flyers.

"What else can they do?" asked Saad Abdulhadi al Ubaidy of the Iraqi Political Prisoners League, which has compiled hundreds of names of the missing. "They can hang around a human-rights office until they get kicked out. They can wait outside the prison or the coalition offices. But they'll still go home with no answers."

There's no way to tell how many people have gone missing after being arrested by U.S. forces, said a coalition human-rights official, speaking on condition of anonymity.

3. Why won't someone ask Dubya pointblank what he is doing about
the horrors in Abu Ghraib? He is the C&C and those were his soldiers who committed war crimes. Shithead wanted to be President so bad that he usurped the Rule of Law, now he needs to deal with the consequences!

4. "No more do Iraqis live in fear...
...of Saddams rape rooms and torture chambers, no longer will they be buried in Saddams mass graves."

Yeah, now they are all Bush.

7. Have they looked into the foundations of the new bases going up?
Maybe a mass grave attributed to Saddam but containing "curiously" fresh corpses?

Have they checked Halliburton containers leaving the country? Marked refuse but actually carrying the pesky unexplained dead...

I'm sorry..am I being morbid?

I can't imagine why.....

12. Can you even begin to imagine? If this were a member of your family??
It breaks my heart... the crowds outside of Abu Ghraib, clutching photographs, begging for info from unsympathtic soldiers who certainly don't speak their language, are not partial to their cause, and who are pissed off for having to be there in the first place?

:-(

14. missing men pictured on their photocopied flyers
just like thousands of people right after 9/11, wandering around lower manhattan, HOPING & PRAYING that their missing loves ones would be found safe ...

(I wished i believed in hell so i could imagine this cabal burning forever, but alas .....)
