RIYADH, Saudi Arabia (CNN) -- A group called the Falluja Squadron in the Arab Peninsula claimed Saturday to have kidnapped an American engineer in the Saudi capital.

The U.S. Embassy in Riyadh confirmed that the man is missing.

The group also took responsibility for killing another U. S. citizen in the city. Earlier, the U.S. Embassy confirmed that a man shot dead in a drive-by shooting was an American.

A statement from the group was posted on the Web site for the online magazine Voice of Jihad, which has been known to publish statements from or linked to al Qaeda.

The Falluja Squadron statement identified the missing American by name and described him as a "specialist" and an engineer who works as a systems developer for the Apache helicopter.

2. Fox just said something about Lockeed Martin
I didn't hear if it was the dead guy or the hostage. It looks like they're targeting the contractors. They must have fiqured out who the "real" bad guys are. Good. It will give the troops a break.

3. What makes you think it's the same people
in Iraq and Saudi Arabia? Or have they been killing troops in Saudi Arabia too?

6. Please clarify
Are you saying that non-combatants are the "real" bad guys, and it is appropriate to attack, kidnap, kill them? That it is more moral, better in some way, to fight those who are unarmed and untrained in arms?

7. If they're war profiteers, they are not worth crying over.
Mercs? Couldn't care less if they die. Same for war profiteers who get rich off the death and chaos of war.

The troops were ordered there. No one ordered the war profiteers to likewise invade and occupy Iraq for their own personal gain. No loss if they die. They're nothing less than pirates.

8. War profiteering is a war crime
There is nothing more evil. Anybody who makes money off war can go to Hell as far as I'm concerned. I got moral-clarity.

5. I think people are just numb to it all
Imagine two years ago, if something like this happened. There would be so much interest in it. Now it's just another day, another body.

9. the important stressed statement:
from the article.......

"We have our legal right to treat the same way they treat our people," it adds. "We will publish more details about the man kidnapped and explain the mujahedeen's demands."

This means they plan on torture!!
