$25K Will Get You Into Bush Party $25K will get you into Bush party
From the Cincinnati Enquirer

http://www.enquirer.com/editions/2004/06/21/loc_loc1abush.html

"The $25,000-a-couple event at investor Bill DeWitt's house is so exclusive that not even the Bush campaign's southwest Ohio chairman, prosecutor Mike Allen, or county chairman Greg Hartmann were invited.

'They know I don't have that kind of money,' Hartmann said."

What was that about the Bush campaign accusing John Kerry of being a wealthy elitist?

2. How deep in the ground is this man's head buried???
Douglass Corn of Bridgetown, who has raised $200,000 for the Bush campaign, said he'll attend with his wife, Ronda.

"I think it's imperative he be re-elected for the good of the country. The jobs are growing; inflation's very low; the Iraq situation is turning around and will continue to turn around," he said. "The future for my children is really why I got involved," said the father of three girls.

What newspaper is this man reading??? Our children's future is being mortgaged to the hilt. Then again, if I could write out a check for $25,000 for a fundraiser, I suppose I wouldn't be worrying too much about my children's future

3. But does $25,000 get you any silverware?
Bush Gives New Meaning to Finger Food

A $2,000-a-plate fundraiser for George Bush in Charlotte, N.C., boasted a gourmet luncheon of seared beef tenderloins with golden tomatoes, grilled garlic chicken with smoked gouda and more, but no silverware to eat it with. The official explanation was the ban on silverware prevented enthusiastic diners from interrupting Dubya's speech by clinking their plates with forks. Supporters ate with their fingers as Bush campaigners rolled out his new theme song, "Medieval Times they are a-changin.'"

5. $25000 can be given to the party per election cycle...
the $2000 linmit is only in direct, to-the-candidate contributions.
