WASHINGTON (Reuters) - The U.S. Supreme Court ruled on Monday that patients cannot sue their health maintenance organizations under state law for refusing to pay for doctor-recommended care, a decision that could affect millions of patients.

This was a unanimous decision. This court is pure poison.

and the absurdity of bean counters making medical decisions over the on-site surgeon makes a mockery of our medical profession (as if it needed this). sigh.

Corporate States Of America. Very soon the only entities that will have any rights in this country will be corporations. I have said this before but the pace appears to be quickening. It looks like it's almost time to leave this festering carcass of a country.
