Textile Maker Will Eliminate 312 Jobs (Layoff Update)
"Dan River Inc. of Danville, Va., a textile manufacturer, will lay off more than 300 employees as it tries to reorganize its debt and emerge from bankruptcy.

Dan River said it will eliminate about 100 salaried positions and 212 employees at two plants in the Danville area.

EDIT

American Italian Pasta Co. of Kansas City, the largest U.S. maker of pasta, will cut about 100 jobs, or 14 percent of its work force, because low-carbohydrate diets have curbed demand for noodles."
