Mattel loses court battle to defend Barbie's honour
Everybody should have a right to protect themselves from baseless and debasing sexual innuendo, particularly the kind that ridicules and humiliates. According to a US federal judge, however, that right does not extend to dolls - even Barbie.

In a ruling that ended five years of legal wrangling the judge, Ronald Lew, ordered toymaker Mattel to pay $1.8m (£1m) in legal costs after he threw out a copyright infringement suit filed by the company against a photographer who posed Barbie dolls naked in suggestive positions in or around household appliances.

"I thought the pictures needed something that really said 'crass consumerism', and to me that's Barbie," Tom Forsythe, an artist and photographer, told the New York Times. "The doll is issued in every possible role you can imagine and comes with every possible accessory for each and every role."

Mr Forsythe had struggled to find a legal team to defend him until the American Civil Liberties Union, a civil rights group, stepped in.

6. The film should still be around somewhere
There was a stop-action porno starring Barbie and poor sexless Ken. It was one of the funniest things I've ever seen. It's got to be out on the net somewhere.

The original Barbie doll hung out in German bars and went home with drunken dirty old men.

My old college girlfriends said Barbie was a Lesbian, and I later found out that was true, at a sex toy shop in Portland Oregon. Her picture was on a postcard and she was doing things with another woman you wouldn't want to explain to your momma.

Edited: You can find pictures using google images if you don't believe me.

7. My barbie
was doing GI Joe but she allowed Ken to drive her around in her sports car. We girls knew the score way before Mattel did.
