High Times repositions itself as activist magazine
http://www.nytimes.com/2004/06/28/business/media/28high.html

For those no longer intrigued by magazine covers that promise to reveal "3 Things That All Guys Crave in Bed" or "50 Ways to Lose the Weight," High Times magazine has a new tease: "How to Get Arrested."

But High Times, a magazine largely known for its adoring centerfold photo spreads of marijuana, is not talking about getting busted for possession of illegal drugs. The arresting cover line appears on the latest issue, an activist's guide to the Republican National Convention in New York, Aug. 30 through Sept. 2.

"This is a program guide to the R.N.C. protests," said Jason Flores-Williams, the staff political writer, who wrote "Call to Resistance," the guide's lead article. "Sort of like a program to a Knicks game."

2. It seems to be a trend, I've noticed that Wired is running many
political articles also.

The only good thing BushCo has done is make people feel the need to voice their opinion against his high crimes.

4. Wired Has Been Excellent
Wired broke airlines sharing passenger data.
Wired has been following BBV.
Wired covers DMCA and all the similar stuff.

In short, Wired kinda rocks the house.

5. This is Awesome! And I hope Rolling Stone is
getting back to their politics(I haven't checked at the library lately)..they had the best writers and then they stopped that section on International news.

I'll be going to that NYC repub convention.. protest of the century.

8. High Time for Some Good News
on this front. Use'ta be things were a lot more political than they are today. Then everything went strictly stupid. Rolling Stone political again would be great. Now if we can just get some intelligence into movies again.
